I would like for her to spend time with students of different races and religions. I can't think of a better way to teach her tolerance. I grew up in a small town, and the racial make-up of the town matched the racial composition of the school. It had to: there were only three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. There wasn't a lot of religions diversity--everyone was either church of Christ or Baptist, with a few, renegade Methodists--but at least black and white kids were right there beside each other.
