I’m with you Joe and Bob. I don’t think that Walt had quite the vision that that has become of his corporation. It is terrible how people are taken advantage of, I don’t agree with the presale premise either. 20 years ago, we just used to wait for ticketmaster to open or hope that we could get through on the phone, now the average person doesn’t have a chance. I looked on ebay just to see what sellers were asking for the tickets and some were upwards of $2500 for 4 tickets and others were only selling one ticket at a time…..CRAZY!!! The worst part is that some Mom or Dad is actually going to pay that amount so their little Susie can have the perfect Christmas. Our society really has to take a good look at our values. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to vent.

Walt Disney is rolling in his grave right now.My kids didn’t have a chance . Here in Detroit area we really can’t afford face value for these tickets . I’m not feeling to good about the channel or her show right now.

My daughter loves Hannah Montana so for her upcoming birthday I thought that I would look into tickets. YIKES!!!! The ticket scalpers got to them before anyone else. Prices are $150 and upwards. The prices that are being asked are ridiculous. I’m planning a different suprise instead.

What is so silly about all this is that ticket sellouts have been going on for decades – sometimes you get tickets and sometimes you don’t. I can remember sitting on the sidewalk in the 70s and 80s at the Ticketmaster at Poplar and Avalon waiting for the box office to open so I could get my tickets to whatever concert was coming to Memphis. Sometimes I got tickets and sometimes I did not. Too bad some of these parents are going nuts over little Amber not being able to go see Hannah Montana because, gasp, there are only so many seats avialable!

I’m sure someone in town did but in a Metro area of over a million folks, 12,000 tickets doesn’t go very far. The tickets were up for grabs worldwide so you’ve got the overflow of parents in neighboring cities who couldn’t get tickets to their home event in the mix too. Besides, after reading some of the stories of parents who’d seem to stop at nothing to get their kid to this show, those who did get a few tickets are probably looking to undercut the professional resellers’ prices and double their own money.

My husband attempted to get tickets in person. The store he was at sold one ticket that morning before the system shut down. I had considered joining the fan club to take advantage of the early sale. But, I didn’t because even that seemed to be rip-off. Good thing I didn’t as there were people who couldn’t buy them then either.

If ‘we’ would stop paying outrageous prices for these tickets, the holders would be stuck with a loss.
