I buy much of the clothing I wear at Target, except jeans. I think it has more to do with finding something that looks good, doesn't cost a fortune and is age appropriate without being matronly. I also like the fact that you can usually find what you are looking for at Target. If you want a pair or simple black pants(without distressing, odd stitching/seams, or a myriad of unusable button-flap pockets) or a V-neck sweater (without sparklies or glitter on it, lol) you can usually find it there.

I've also found that despite the low price the clothing holds up well.

It's not so much that I'm embarrassed that I pay those lovely low Target prices, but it's that I'm wearing what everyone else has, and we all know where we got it. Though your point is well-taken, and maybe closer to the truth than I realized!

I once complimented my mom on her pretty sweater and asked where it came from. She was reluctant to tell me, but finally confessed that it came from the feed store! (We raise horses.)

Isn't it sad that you have to ask this question, instead of being proud to buy clothes you like for a reasonable price?
