Like the rest of you, I swooned over every episode of SATC. It got me through numeruos nights of cramming in college. To be perfectly honest, I learned more about designers, fashion, and style via SATC than most magazines.

BTW, Wendi, I got that "game" and it sits in all its cute, metal chicness at the top of my closet and hasn't been cracked open since the day that I got it.

When I was a teenager I had this BEAUTIFUL poster of Baryshnikov on my wall. I've had a crush on him FOR. EV. ER. and I always wanted Carrie to end up with Aleksandr.

Though the thing about SATC that actually wasn't a lie came clear right at the very end, when Carrie was stuck in Paris and she kept seeing groups of girlfriends talking, talking, talking to each other, and realized how much she had left when she moved to be with (insert cough here) Mikhail Baryshnikov. (Thinking of Misha in bed still a highlight for me.) Though I was sorry when she ended up with Big. And yes, I can't wait to see the movie.

I love this post! And it's so true about the lies - the one I'm experiencing most at the moment is the ability to wear 4 in heels in the city and not need orthopedic surgery afterwards. Seriously,I'm almost at the stage of buying Naturalizer pumps and that is not a good thing.

Oh, I loved SATC too. Even have the board game, which isn't really a board game but comes in a cute pink metal box.

I'll go see the movie - it's entertainment...

Never did get spending $500 on shoes. The episode where Carrie was figuring up how much she'd have for a down payment on her apartment-turned-condo if she hadn't bought all those Manolos? Priceless.

But BEST OF ALL was the episode where she went to Paris but then slipped and fell inside the Chanel store and lost (or thought she lost) her "Carrie" necklace. Which was so 1980s. As was her hair. But I was/still am a fan...
