She’s not kidding about the “be nice” part. This guy is like the Soup Nazi, right there on Germantown Parkway. One of my pals went in there, 8 months pregnant, looking for a taco (or something, the details are gone) and asked for cheese on it. Well, Pepe declined to serve her, yelled at her for being such an ignoramus, and basically reduced her to tears. And my friend is someone who learned to eat tacos IN MEXICO. I’m sure the food is great. But what about being nice?

As a gal who won’t be in Memphis any time soon, I won’t be able to check out Pepes. I am, however, intrigued by the corn idea and I wound up finding the recipe online. Sounds like something that must be tried.
