1. Is skirt! still around? Who’ll be editing it? The answer is yes, skirt! is still going strong — the March issue is now free in a box near you (I’ll work on getting a clickable location list). I wrote most of the local copy for March, but the layout, etc., happened after I left. And I hear there’s a new editor on board, though I don’t know her. Best news is that the inimitable Nikki Hardin is still running the show at skirt! in Charleston, the HQ, which means the magazine will stay as wonderful as ever.

2. We miss reading your CA column! Will you still be writing anywhere? Yes! Here at iDivamemphis, my intention is to continue to write columns regularly, though I’m not sure how often and when. I’ll figure out a schedule and post it.

3. What about The CA … will it survive? It’s true that newspaper news is grim. And the magnificent Rocky Mountain News closed after 149 years last Friday. But I don’t think print is going away completely, and I know The CA will be around for a good while. What form it will take continues to be a moving target.

4. What are you doing then, if not journalism? I am nearly two weeks into a grand new adventure, as the Director of Advancement at St. Mary’s Episcopal School. Watch this space as I figure out what I’m doing, ask for help, make mistakes, and learn a whole new world.
